Several K2 Questions

Maria Christina Sales Brady says:

i am here now in US and married to a USC, i have a pending AOS right now and i have a K2 to follow next year. My concern is that, is it ok if i dont go there in PH to be with my son’s K2 interview, can my mother accompany my son on the embassy?, and what are the documents needed for his K2 interview, i am annulled in the PH. hope you give me information about these matter. thank u so much…

Admin says:

If the principal applicant is unable to be with the applicant during the interview, he can be assured that his absence, in and of itself, will not affect the case. Majority of our visa applicants successfully undergo the interview without their principal applicants present.

The applicants’ adult representative should visit this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph to schedule a visa interview appointment.

Please note that K2 applicant must pay the visa application fee of $350 (per applicant), before they can request a visa appointment via the online appointment website or the Embassy’s Visa Call Center. For K1/K2 visa payment instructions, the applicant may visit a link to our website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

The applicants’ guardian should follow all interview preparation instructions for K1/K2 visa applicants located on the Embassy’s website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Please be aware that under U.S. immigration law and regulation, issuance of a fiancé(e) derivative (K2) visa must follow within one year from the date the fiancé(e) visa (K1) was issued to the principal applicant.

and this is the e-mail to me by the US Embassy Philippines:

When the applicant is ready to apply for his K2 visa, his adult representative should visit this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph, or contact the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930 to schedule a visa interview date. The Visa Information and Appointment Service is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the USA may contact the Appointment Service at (214) 571-1600 between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Callers should have the applicant’s case number, passport number, and passport expiry date ready when requesting a visa appointment.

Please note that K2 applicants must pay the visa application fee of $350, before they can request a visa appointment via the online appointment website or the Embassy’s Visa Call Center. For K2 visa payment instructions, you may visit a link to our website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html.

The applicant’s guardian should follow all interview preparation instructions for K2 visa applicants located on the Embassy’s website at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. The instructions contained on the website will provide the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date.

The applicant’s guardian should compile all the required documents and complete the medical examination before the interview date (when scheduled). He/She should bring an authorization letter and a clear copy of your valid ID bearing your signature, along with his/her own valid IDs to accompany the applicant to his medical examination and visa interview.

Please be aware that because you were issued a fiancee (K1) nonimmigrant visa on June 00, 2011, ----- must apply and be eligible for issuance of a K2 visa before June 00, 2012.

Additionally, kindly note that the K1 visa is valid only for single-entry. Prior to departing the United States, you must notify the nearest U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office which has jurisdiction over your residence. You may also wish to contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-800-375-5283 regarding this matter.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

I did Biometric Walk- In- USCIS, OKC

hello guys, i just wanna share my experience in my biometric walk-in today.... my orig. sched. biometric is Sept. 23, 2011, we received the notice 1st wk. of this mon. and told to my husband about walk-in but he doesnt want to do it bcoz he is thinking it might not work and wasted our time goin in OKC but then today, this morning when we woke up he told me he is thinking about to do it and bcoz he is also curious if we can do it :D , he called the no. of USCIS on the notice and the rep. said that we can't do it... unless we change our sched. but i insisted to my husband we can do it and even he dont know if it will gonna work we went still just to make me happy... ;) bcoz i really want to do it and told him i saw others they can do walk in...
i have with me my notice, passport, military id, ssn card, and our MC, before we enter the uscis building the guard called 1st inside and asked if i can have my bio in advance and fortunately they allow me to do my biometric today even it will gonna be on friday... but i am just lucky today that only few people are inside the building bcoz if not they will not entertain me and i need to go back on my orig. sched., well as like other said only 15 mins. and i am done with my business on USCIS building, had my finger scanned and took my pix, and the employee there gave us a handbook with a CD for naturalization and told me to study it. :P :luv:

Civil Surgeon and I-693 form

I had my CS appointment last July 21, 2011, i brought with me my passport with my visa, I-94, my vaccination record, and my CD. They didn't get my CD but they got a copy of my vaccination history from SLEC., honey ko paid $250 for the fee. They check my height, weight, ears, throat, eyes. They got also sample of my blood, the nurse pricked my left arm for the test and said to wait for 3 days to get the result. IF i found positive then i need to under-go x-ray and i need to have other vaccinations, but if not i don't need to do that process anymore but just get the vaccines that i need. Then i waited 3 days for the result of my skin test, on July 25, 2011 we returned back to the clinic and i was so happy bcoz i got my I-693 form and I DON'T need any vaccination, the CS said i am good that i have a Tdap, MMR and history of VH, and i complete the required vaccination they need. When we returned home i had my sealed envelop from the CS.

Its been a while since my last update here on my blog, i was just so busy with my life here in the US of course just arrived here last July 12, so been really busy with my honey babe and we're doin a lot here too... but right now i have the chance to update what is happening to me and what i did after i arrived in my POE... pls. read my other updates post below...

After two weeks i arrived here in USA, i applied for my SSN no. here in Lawton, OK. List of what i brought with me my passport, I-94, our marriage contract, and my birth cert., i intended to apply for my married name in my SSN card but they didn't allow me to do that bcoz they said i need to register first on my maiden name bcoz that's the name i carried when i arrived here in USA... but some states allow to use married name even they are K1 holder, BUT the employee there who assisted us are nice and told us to go back after a month to change my name on my SSN Card after a month. And also bear in mind some of the employees are not aware that a K1 visa holder is entitled to get an SSN no. so u should be aware of what is your right as a K1 visa holder and u can print also the RM 10211.530 and show it to them.

My K1 Interview Experience- June 16, 2011

Here is my K1 Interview Experience at the US Embassy, Manila.

I am from Quezon Province so i went to Manila the day before my interview, my mom and my son come with me in Manila to accompany me. We stayed at Gran Prix Hotel, the US Embassy has a new building now and the hotels very near to this new building is the one where we stayed, Lotus Hotel, and City State..

June 16, 2011 is my "BIG DAY" so i woke up early at about quarter to 3am, i prayed to GOD and asked Him to guide me and touch the heart and mind of the pre-screener and CO who will gonna interview me, and txted Rayza, my PL friend who will have her K1 interview too on that same day... and told her i am awake and i started to prepare myself, ate, bath, and fixed my self..

at about 4:15 am we went out of the hotel building and we just walked goin to the US Embassy... we arrived at Bayview at around 4:30am and once i txted Rayza again asking where she is... my friend arrived and we talked for a while sitting at Bayview. At exactly 5am the guard called us all and he told us to line up, he first called all the IM applicant to fall in line and that included us K1 Visa Applicants.. then all the Tourist, Seafarers, etc... then we are all line up near the US Embassy gate, then waited maybe 30 mins. again standing.. before we enter to the US Embassy building they told us to prepare for our DS forms, ID, and Appointment Letter.. they checked all those forms, stapled and instructed us to give it inside where we will get our no., i got 7014 and my friend got 7015, when we entered to the embassy building our bags and all our docs. passed to the x-ray machine... then proceed now to the new building and we ...

dropped our DS-forms appointment letter at window 39 i think...

this is it..

me and my friend was just sitting and attentively waiting for our nos. to flash at the queuing board, oh my this is funny to me bcoz i want to chat with rayza much but we cant bcoz our nos. might flash that we didnt notice it.. and soon my friend's no. flashed and she went to her finger scanning.. and me still waiting for my no. and told rayza that my no. taking so long to flash at the queuing board , but later on it flashed too .. and went to the window no. i was assigned.. and when i got there she told me to prepare now my docs. and i didnt know that it was my preliminary interview already, bcoz i thought i will gonna do first my finger scanning ... and i left all my things at my sit... .. said sorry of course to the pre-screener and told her i will just get all my things at my sit but she told me that's ok... u get it first and comeback here, so i ran with my 2 inches hills and got all my things

the pre-screener i had is a woman, i am on 50's window i just forgot the window no., really she looks strict but then bcoz my docs. are complete and maybe she is satisfied with it she didnt gave me a hard time.. i remembered she asked me only personal questions like what is my name, who is my petitioner?, what's his work, do he owns a house?, if me and my fiance has a previous marriage, do we have kids from our previous marriages, did i went to other country before, did i apply for any visa before, how many kids he have, how many kids i have, will my son come with me, how many times me and honey married before, how much is my annulment? which i dont think its a visa related question.. , and she asked me to give her my BC, CENMAR, my 2 NBI with AKA, my annulment docs., honey's I-134 (w/c is scan, this is the newer version), w2, and ITR, she didnt ask for honey's LES (pay stubs) and ERB (his employment record) but still i included it to the docs. she asked, she told me to put the name of my fiance and sign the lower part of the ds-56k then she said ok... go back to your sit and wait again for ur no. to flash at the queuing board for your finger scanning.. and i said thank u of course and she replied me GOODLUCK!!!

waiting for my finger scanning really took so long for my no. to flash on the queuing board, i even told to rayza oh my they might overlooked my papers... and i am thinking lots on my head what's the problem with my papers?... or maybe they already shoot it on the trash bin...(i am bad) guess what? my friend rayza and josephine already done with their interview with the CO and to the last window that will tell if the case is ok.. and u can to go home and i am still at my sit waiting for my no. , its 8:30am and they're done and me still waiting, waiting, waiting... rayza still waited for me for several minutes but still my no. is not flashing on the queuing board, so told her u go home and eat bcoz she is hungry too that time.. and i know someone is waiting for her too.. and she is excited to tell her fiance that she got approved... at long last my no. flash on the queuing board for finger scanning on window 40 i think... and i thought he is the CO who will gonna interview me.. i raised my right hand... and he said no.. your left hands that was funny but that's ok bcoz that is all new to me.. so its natural sometimes to get mistakes and maybe bcoz i am really excited, then i asked him am i done? and he said yes ok u can go back to ur sit and wait for ur no. to flash on the queuing board...

praying and waiting but now it didnt take that long...

then finally my no. flashed on the queuing board for my FINAL INTERVIEW on window 64.. the CO who was assigned to me is a woman too.. she looks nice.. and intelligent.. and smart of course... she greeted me hi good morning.. how are u? and i said also good morning maam, i am fine, thank u... then she asked me to raise my hand and promise blah..blahh.. and i said yes maam.... then the interview started...

she is looking on the blue sheet that the pre-screener wrote down all the informations that were asked from me... then looking at my docs., she asked several personal questions too.. about my fiance and me.. like where we met?.. when?.. how many times did he visited me?.. how do we communicate... how many kids does my fiance have.. his work.. do he owns a house.. what are the names of my fiance kids.. what is my name, when i was born.. what is honey's name.. do i promise to marry honey within 90 days.. well honestly i had a hard time to explain to her about my annulment.. bcoz she is asking what part or page where is written that my X husband went to Canada.. and i cant tell her what page.. but then i told her he story goes we married and we been together as husband and wife only for 2 wks then he left me went to canada and he didnt comeback for us.. before we have a communication but until such time that he really didnt communicate with us.. and she said oh that's fine.. and i think she is surprised too based on her expression and eyes that i waited for 10 yrs she said but only almost 7 yrs. i waited for my X husband... then she asked me again ok do u promise u will marry within 90 days and i said yes maam... and she FINALLY SAY, OK MARIA YOUR VISA IS APPROVED!!! when i heard it from her i was so happy and i said to her thank u very much maam... and she said ok go back to ur sit and wait for ur name to be called.. and i said thank u again... and she replied me ok Good luck!!!

when i am returning to my sit really i am teary eyes and my chin is trembling.. i am so happy and i thought of my honey bunny and the LDR that we have and now finally God heard us.. and this is it... maybe its only 2 mins. then i heard again my name called by window 72, and the pinay girl there told me ok maam ur done and ur ok.. u can go home... but she returned my appointment letter and my eligible letter and my queu no. 7014... , my appointment letter has a stamp says, BIO F/S DONE, JUNE 16, 2011, IM VISA... I DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS

then i went back to the hotel, smiling and when i arrived at the hotel room i picked up my mobile and call honey babe ko at once, honey babe ko is waiting bcoz he know i will call and cant wait to tell him my good news and told him what happened to me on that day... I GOT APPROVED!!!!

THANK U TO GOD, TO OUR FAMILY, AND TO OUR FRIENDS, OLD AND NEW WHO ALWAYS GIVE US SUPPORT, LOVE AND CARE...

My medical experience at SLEC and seminar at PRISM

I had my first day of medical at slec yesterday, april 13, 2011, i was in the slec building, 9:30am, my pretty cousin accompanied me. I dont have eligible letter bcoz i didnt waited for it... i dont have scan copy of my noa2 and nvc letter either, i just show the guard the letter that slec replied me and my 2 e-notification from USCIS and NVC. The guard stamped my right arm the blue ink and he gave me the PDS form and instructed me to it fill up and give it to the US reception which is on the right side corner on the ground floor.

US Reception- where i submitted my PDS form and the lady there put all my my informations on the computer, i had my finger scanning and picture. After that the lady there told me to proceed to the 5th flr.

5th flr.- i went straight to the cashier and paid for my medical fee and they told me to proceed to 4th flr.

4th flr.- where i did my urine and blood test...

3rd flr.- where i did my chest x-ray

5th flr.- where i did my eye check test, weight and height...waiting.... then vital sign.. waiting again..... physical exam....i was sent to a nice doctor, room no. 7, she asked about medical history and some medical related question... she checked my body.. breast, arms, front and behind (lol).. but she noticed my very little rashes on my right arm that is the reason why i was referred to a dermatologist and also bcoz i am annulled i was referred to under-go the psychological evaluation, i am the petitioner but i am also found psychologically incapacitated.i went again to 5th flr. and instructed me to go to the Ground flr.

Ground flr.- went to window M, to famous Mr. Clark Kent..lol, he instructed me what i need to do.. and he scheduled me for an evaluation today at 8am.

i was out at slec building at 1:15pm.. i suggest for those who are not yet doin their medical to go to slec not very early, to avoid some incident that we dont know might happen.. like dont walk on the street of ermita so early.. u can walk in at slec maybe 7am and in the afternoon too.. and dont go to slec monday bcoz for sure there will be lots of people doin the medical, so for me much better to go at slec after monday... ;)

i was sent to St. Luke's Medical Center bcoz the dermatologist's clinic is there, where i met 4 girls and they are also processing K1, sofa visa... they dont know VJ so i suggested to them to register also on that helpful site. i heard some of them paid much money bcoz they have serious skin problem that need them to under-go laboratory and other stuff... but she told me i dont have problem with my skin just that my skin is sensitive and was irritated bcoz a little portion of my right arm got dry and it was irritated when i scratched it. i have a cream that i am using and good that it is correct but she still gave me a cream to help regulate my skin and she instructed me to stop using it if i see that the portion is ok. she told me to change my soap to mild soap, use my cream for a week. that's all and i paid for the check up fee and for the cream she gave me.on monday afternoon the dermatologist's report will be at slec hands.

ok here's what happened to my second day medical...

i arrive at slec building 15 mins. before 8am my schedule time for my psych evaluation.. i showed the guard my receipt and he told me to proceed again to window M (Mr. Clark), and he asked me about what happened to my visit to the dermatologist and he told me i dont see anything to ur right arm hehehe... yeah coz it is really so small.... and he instructed me to proceed to 5th flr. to pay for the psych evaluation... and then i waited my name to be called for psychiatric evaluation... when my name called i was accompanied by the lady guard to proceed to 6th flr. where the room of the psychiatric doctor is located.. he only asked my name... about my family.. like name of my parents.. their occupation... how many siblings do i have.. and he read my paper.. and that's all.. he told me there is nothing wrong with u.. in fact your X-partner is the one who has a disorder... but it is a public document he said and the embassy knew about it... he knew that i was given a disorder too just to annulled my marriage and now i know the reason why we petitioner really need to repeat again the psych test... bcoz we need to prove that we dont have disorder and as i said he really told me.. i dont see anything wrong with u and he is smiling at me and say... kau tlgang mga bata kahit ano pinalalagay sa annulment doc. basta ma-annulled lang kau hehehehe.. i paid 1,000 for that evaluation and my gosh i was interviewed only for less than 3 mins... awhile ago i was talking to the dr. who will gonna give me the PEPS and she scheduled me tomorrow morning... then after two weeks that is the time i can do my vaccination... and i am done... but of course i am ready for this already bcoz i know from the start that maybe, i might encounter these procedures, read lots of cases before so that's ok with me.. what i really prayed so much is for me not to have the sputum.. bcoz it will give me so much delays... and thank God i dont need to do it....

after i had my evaluation i met ate Rhea Manalo Broughton, if i am not mistaken ehhee.. she is nice... but we just met at slec she is done with her med., she just had her immunization this morning and me i went straight to PRISM to do my seminar...

BTW i had a cesarean operation but they didnt ask for any record operation...
