"St. Luke's and Drug Use"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This appears to be a touchy topic on this site. I will address the issue once again and, hopefully, the hypervigilant moderators will let the postings stay. For some folks hoping to obtain a visa, it is very important.
As simply put as possible, self-admission of drug use (even one time many years ago) to the interviewing physician at St. Luke's is essentially the same as admitting the same to the CO at the Embassy. The physician is an agent of the Embassy and not an advocate of the patient. This is a difficult concept for most Americans.
Additionally, admitting drug use to the physician and then denying it to the CO would be considered fraud.
Either drug use or immigration fraud will trigger (in 99.9999% of cases from Manila) automatic and permanent denial that no amount of time or money can fix. Due process and appeal, as we have in the USA, does not extend to the Philippines for immigration purposes.
I post this not to encourage fraud of any kind. I post this so that if you do have a past history of drug experimentation/use you are now aware that if you spend a good bit of money for an immigration visa, you have an insurmountable mountain to climb.

A mod deleted it!? I saw that this morning! They locked the other thread! LMAO. They're so sensitive... They should open their eyes to the realization in the Philippines. They don't see the discrimination against those who have experimented with drugs in the past. Why deprive them of entry if it occurred eons ago?
Hay.
correct sis!! there should be a thread like this on VJ/ Phil forum so atleast others who have past experience like this one should be aware what will be the consequences of admitting drug used in the past.. but sadly the MODs are very strict on what to post on VJ..
and yes the other thread was already closed and anonymousperson made a thread too about her/his experienced and the MODs made it invisible...
I understand why they did it though. The site doesn't condone the encouragement of providing false information. She wasn't pushing for it though. It's just a fact. Oh well... I hope that the girl who encountered a recent problem with the Embassy gets her visa.
yeah lets just hope sooo that she will get her visa soon....
